Local job market defies national trend

While many areas throughout the country lost jobs since the recession hit in 2008, Town Manager Tom Hall reports, Scarborough fared much better.

Over the last 10 years, Hall said, Scarborough added close to 1,700 jobs and , since 2008, has added jobs while the state and Cumberland County lost jobs.
