Biddeford, MAINE (July 19, 2012) - The Biddeford Free Clinic, which provides outpatient medical care and prescription medication to low-income adults and children without insurance, recently received a $2,500 donation from a longtime supporter, Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution.

“The Biddeford Free Clinic is extremely grateful for the support Saco & Biddeford Savings has provided for the uninsured in our local communities,” said Joan Gordon, executive director of the Biddeford Free Clinic. “The bank’s generous contributions for the last 19 years have enabled the clinic to maintain its consistent delivery of non-narcotic prescription medications for uninsured neighbors in Southern Maine.”

Donald Lauzier, a bank vice president and director of community relations, said that Saco & Biddeford Savings is pleased to have a long history of supporting this cause. “We truly believe in the clinic’s mission of helping those in our communities who need the medical help but just can’t afford it,” he said. “This very much reflects our mission of giving back to our customers and our communities. We are proud to continue our support for such a wonderful organization and encourage others in our area to support the Biddeford Free Clinic as well.”
